Debut album from the Medway lo-fi folksters. These never before heard home recordings were produced by the late Chris Austin, who tradically died shortly before this album was due to be released.
All proceeds from the album sale are being given to his family.
Someone once called Chris Austins songs “nightmare lullabies”… Its imagery that sits well with the band, themselves generally dysfunctional and often at odds with the world around them.
The band comes from the Medway towns and was started in 2011 by Chris Austin and Matt Bell who earlier in 2012 were joined by Stan Read on drums and David Hughes joining on guitar at the start of 2013.
All the music they make is recorded at home on basic equipment. They have made a series of music videos as an accompaniment which can be watched online. The songs themselves are lo-Fi and acoustic at heart, built up around the edges by vocal harmonies and drums recorded with only one microphone.
